Children’s Mountain Bike Track
The Woodchester children’s mountain bike track offers a fun and safe space for young riders to build confidence and develop their biking skills. Designed as a green-graded trail, it’s suitable for children and family riders alike, with gentle slopes and flowing turns.

Woodchester Bike Trails were opened in March 2017, after a significant amount of work by the Parish Council, acquiring the land and raising the funds required to have the track professionally built by TrailCraft. Funding was provided by Woodchester Parish Council and a number of generous local sponsors, including Gloucestershire County Council, Renishaw, Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association, BPE Solicitors, Summerfield Trust, Langtree Trust, Jack Lane Trust, Denis Brown and Son, Black 8 Bikes, CR Signs.
Situated adjacent to the Stroud to Nailsworth Cycle Path, the track includes a Green Trail for young and beginner cyclists and a Blue Trail for Intermediate cyclists. It has proved immensely popular, attracting cyclists from across the district and being featured in various Mountain Bike websites and blogs.
The track is maintained by Woodchester Parish Council and is inspected weekly by a team of volunteers from the village.
